Vegbox has been so kind, not many organisations offer a low income discount and they even delivered to me for free while I was bedridden due to breaking my leg & hand.

What is The Solidarity Fund?

In June 2022 the members of Kentish Town Vegbox voted to create the Vegbox Solidarity Fund to subsidise veg bags for vulnerable members of our community.

Now let’s make it happen!

I work in theatre and Covid really hit me hard, plus I’m a vegan! Vegbox’s discount scheme meant that I could still eat well and try and not break the bank while I was getting back on my feet.

When we were on the low income discount for a while, which meant me and my family were still able to eat healthy organic vegetables, now we do not receive the discount anymore, but we stayed with Vegbox because of the generosity and kindness they showed us

Inequality in Camden and Islington is a serious issue, with both communities ranked among the most unequal in the country. Now with the cost of living crisis looming, things are getting even worse.

What will we do with your donation?

We provide a 10% to 50% discount on our fresh, organic veg to those who need it. We’ll use the money to directly subsidise this discount. Also, for every contribution you make, Vegbox will contribute another £1

Why now?

The cost of energy, food and rent is shooting through the roof, and some of our members are feeling the crunch. We don’t want to see our members give up their membership due to these financial constraints.

Fresh fruit and veg shouldn’t be a luxury. It should be a human right for everyone to have food that is good for people and the planet.
